George Patton
George Patton was born in San Gabriel, California in 1885. His family had a ripe history of being in the military, which is probably what caused his interest in the military leading to him being an influential person in World War II. His schooling was very similar to most of the other officers in the military because he graduated from an established military school. He graduated from West Point in New York after he had transferred there from the Virginia Military Institute, plus he was a successful athlete in high school, which most likely helped him later when he became one of the military's best tank specialists.
Patton wasn't just known for his importance in World War II, but he was also known as a tank specialist. Lieutenant General Patton was an influential person in during World War II because of the part he played in the Battle of the Bulge, in which he was able to move his troops through several countries in a short amount of time. Another important he played was how he handled his troop of tanks in Italy and North Africa. Like all other leaders, strength and endurance is required to be a successful leader. Patton was the embodiment of strength and endurance, plus his strategies and tactics lead to him getting the nickname Old Blood and Guts.
